In this video we see the position of the diesel filter on an Iveco Daily: its function is to protect the engine from harmful particles and contaminants that may be present in the fuel, and that can be collected in the fuel path from the tank to the engine, such as dust, rust or water. The fuel filter acts as a barrier, trapping these impurities and ensuring that only clean fuel reaches the engine. Consequently, a clogged filter can restrict the flow of fuel, causing a loss of power and an increase in fuel consumption. This filter is located in the engine compartment, near the pollen filter, located under the engine block.
