Using the automatic gearbox is very convenient if you know how to operate it. For safety, the lever must always be in "Park" when the car is stationary or off. Move the gear lever to "Drive" to start. To engage reverse, shift the lever to "Reverse" (use the brake pedal to ensure the gear can be engaged while stationary). There are various types of automatic gearboxes that allow for changing the gear ratios (short or long) depending on the driver's preferred driving style.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y
