Removing the Car Radio from the Dashboard

Model: Jaguar Xj X300, MK 3 - Years 1994-1997

Start by opening the glove compartment in the centre console. Unscrew the screws near the locking magnets of the cover. Remove the ashtray and disconnect the connectors. Take off the plastic trim around the gear lever. Manually unscrew the plastic screws (two fasteners) under the gear tunnel, lower the gear lever, and remove the cover. Unscrew all the retaining screws of the radio support and gently remove the dashboard by pulling it out of the compartment. Disconnect all the electrical wiring connectors and carefully extract the car radio, taking care around the gear lever.
