How to Replace the Steering Wheel in a Jaguar X Type

Model: Jaguar X-Type MK 1 - Years 2001-2009

Open and lift the bonnet to disconnect the connectors on the battery to deactivate the airbag system. Next, undo the bolts securing the steering wheel's central panel, located on either side of the steering column. Disconnect the plugs behind the part you just removed. Now, disconnect all connectors at the centre of the steering wheel. You can then undo the bolt at the centre of the steering wheel. Carefully extract the entire steering wheel, being mindful of the passing cables. For reassembly, simply follow the steps in reverse.
