How to remove the SKREEM module from a Jeep Grand Cherokee

In this video we see how to remove the SKREEM (Sentry Key Rembedded EEprom Module) module on a Jeep Grand Cherokee. This module is an electronic component used by the Chrysler group for vehicle security and immobilization, communicating with the transponder in the key: if the code does not match the one stored in the module, the vehicle will not start. Under the steering wheel we have a cover with a screw that we need to remove, and another one on the top. This will allow us to remove the lower part of the instrument panel which is pressure fitted. Underneath we find two screws to remove, and then two cross screws on the sides, in order to remove the upper part of the driver's side dashboard. This way we will be able to see the module, which is located right under the steering column. At this point, it will be enough to remove the connector and the job is done.
