For specific needs, it is possible to deactivate the front passenger airbag protection in a car, for example to install a child seat or to perform maintenance work. In the Jeep Compass, this is done as follows: with the instrument panel on, access the Settings using the buttons on the left side of the steering wheel and select Vehicle Settings, then choose Airbag and when asked for confirmation of Activation/Deactivation, select Yes.
