How to reset the engine oil life indicator on the 2021 Jeep Compass.

After performing the oil change on the 2021 Jeep Compass, the maintenance reminder can be reset directly from the cabin without using diagnostic tools. The vehicle should be stationary, with the gear in Park (P) and the parking brake engaged. To start the reset, it is important to turn on only the instrument cluster: press the start button without touching the brake pedal, so that the engine remains off but the central display between the tachometer and speedometer lights up. When the cluster is on and the maintenance warning is visible, focus on the accelerator pedal. With the engine still off, press the accelerator pedal down multiple times in quick succession, bringing it to the floor each time and fully releasing it between presses. This sequence is performed rapidly and serves as the reset command for the oil indicator for this model. Once the operation is complete, you can turn off the cluster, wait a moment, and then turn it back on again, still without starting the engine, to check the result. The oil change warning should no longer appear, and the oil life percentage should be reset to the initial value. In this way, the maintenance reminder for the 2021 Jeep Compass has been correctly reset after the service.
