How to Disable Start & Stop on a Jeep Renegade

Let's see how to permanently disable the Start & Stop system on a Jeep Renegade with a 1.3 turbo-flex T270 engine. Open the bonnet and locate the battery, then find the BSI sensor on the negative terminal. It is a small electronic module attached directly to the negative cable terminal. Press the release tab and pull the electrical connector from the sensor (it is not necessary to disconnect the cable from the battery). This will permanently disable the Start & Stop system, and a yellow warning light (or a dedicated icon) will illuminate on the dashboard to indicate that the system is not operational. To reactivate it, simply reconnect the sensor.
