How can I deactivate the start and stop on my Jeep Renegade?

On your Jeep Renegade, the start & stop system is active by default at every start and must be manually deactivated if desired, using the specific button at the base of the gearbox as shown at 8:44 in the following video. The system will automatically turn off the engine every time the vehicle stops for more than 3 seconds, once the engine has reached the correct operating temperature (if you have a manual gearbox, this will only happen if the car is in neutral), and will restart with a simple press of the accelerator. For normal use, it is advisable to deactivate it in congested traffic to avoid overloading the starter motor and battery.
