How to Replace Engine Oil and Filter on a Jeep Compass

Model: Jeep Compass MK 1, MK 49 - Years 2006-2016

To replace the engine oil and filter on a Jeep Compass, open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard. Lift the bonnet and secure it. Remove the oil filler cap and raise the car on a column lift. Using a socket spanner, unscrew the large securing bolt of the container cap where the oil filter is located, then remove the old filter and install a new one. Unscrew the bolt from the oil sump and drain the fluid into a container. Finally, refill with new oil and close the bonnet.
