Where is the TPMS Computer Located on a 2014/2018 Jeep Cherokee

On this version of the Jeep Cherokee, the TPMS control unit is located on the roof of the cabin, mounted inside the tailgate, in the passenger compartment. It is a rectangular electronic module, fixed directly to the tailgate. This computer, known as the RKE/TPMS module, has a dual function: it receives signals from the pressure sensors in the four wheels and manages the keyless entry system. Its position is strategic for receiving weak radio signals from the wheel sensors evenly from all four corners of the vehicle. It is important to know its location for replacement in case of failure, for reprogramming the system after replacing a sensor (which requires diagnostic equipment), or for diagnosing a malfunction in the TPMS or keyless entry system.
