Before you can begin, sit in the driver's seat of your Jeep Renegade. Start by releasing the lower clips that secure the airbag to the steering wheel, using a cross-head screwdriver and applying leverage.

This will free the airbag from its housing. Next, pull it out from the steering wheel, and you will reach the connector attached to the airbag, which you need to disconnect.

Once you have completed this step, you can fully remove the airbag. At this point, you will have successfully disassembled it, and you are free to install the new airbag.
