How to Replace the TPMS Sensor and Turn Off the Tyre Pressure Warning Light on a Jeep Compass

This guide shows how to replace traditional valves with those equipped with tyre pressure sensors on a Jeep Compass and turn off the corresponding warning light on the dashboard. The first observation to make is that tyres fitted with the TPMS sensor have a metal valve; precise identification of the sensor's presence can be done using a TPMS sensor reader. After removing the tyre you are working on, you need to detach the tyre to access the valve and remove it; for this operation, it is advisable to consult a tyre specialist. Fit the new valve with sensor and reassemble the tyre. Inflate the piece worked on so far and remount it on the hub. Check the sensor's operation with a tester. At this point, the tyre pressure warning light will no longer be visible on the dashboard.
