How to Change the Oil and Filter on a Jeep Wrangler

In this video, see how to change the engine oil and filter on a Jeep Wrangler. In the engine bay, use a socket to unscrew the black filter cap. Lift the vehicle on a column lift or jack and unscrew the bolt under the oil sump with a suitable socket to drain the oil into a container for disposal. After allowing all the oil to drain, re-screw the bolt into the oil sump. Now, screw in the new filter with the filter holder in the engine bay. Check that the cap is properly seated on the metal base. Finally, top up the oil reservoir with new fluid according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
