Removing the Front Shock Absorber of a Kia Sorento

Carefully follow these steps to remove the front shock absorber from a Kia Sorento. First, loosen the wheel nuts, lift the car on a column lift, and remove the wheel. Use a socket to undo the bolts securing the shock absorber to the wheel hub. Now lower the car with the column lift and remove the air kit from the engine bay, then undo the bolt on the side and pull the shock absorber out of its housing. Compare the old part with the new one and prepare to fit the shock absorber onto the spring using a compression tool. Once everything is assembled, proceed to install the shock absorber onto the vehicle: insert the shock absorber into its housing, first tighten all the upper bolts in the engine bay, then secure the lower part to the wheel hub, tightening all the bolts with your socket. Finally, refit the wheel with the respective nuts.
