How to change the engine oil in a Kia Rio? Follow these steps: lift the car on a column lift and unscrew the bolt from the oil sump, allowing the oil to drain into a container (tighten the bolt after draining). Use a strap wrench to unscrew the oil filter, remove it, and fit a new one, ensuring it seals properly around the thread. Lower the car to the ground, then open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard and lift the front bonnet, securing it. Finally, refit the oil filter cap, tighten the screws, and top up with new oil.
