How to Replace the Serpentine Belt on a Kia Sorento

To replace the serpentine belt on a Kia Sorento, turn off the engine and wait for it to cool completely. Open the bonnet and locate the belt routing on the alternator, air conditioning compressor, and other accessories. If space is limited, lift the vehicle and remove the necessary lower cover to access the area. Before disassembly, observe or photograph the routing of the old belt. Insert a suitable spanner onto the automatic tensioner and rotate it in the necessary direction to relieve tension. While holding it in position, slide the belt off one pulley and then the others. Install the replacement following the same routing, ensuring the grooves are correctly seated. Slowly release the tensioner, check the alignment, and start the engine to verify that the belt runs smoothly.
