How to Replace the Alternator on a Kia Sorento

This guide covers the removal of the alternator on a Kia Sorento. Pull the lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard and lift the bonnet, securing it. Locate the power battery and disconnect the terminals. Unscrew the bolts with a socket wrench, being careful not to damage the wiring harness membranes, and unscrew all the securing bolts of the alternator (work from underneath the car). Once disassembly is complete, extract it from the engine bay. Take the new replacement part and insert it into the appropriate housing, then screw in the securing bolts.
