How to Replace the Heater Tap in a Lada Niva

In this video tutorial, you can see how to replace the heater tap in a Lada Niva by following a few simple steps: the first thing to do is remove the glove compartment (unscrew one screw inside and three underneath). Once the glove compartment is removed, the heater tap is located behind it; you need to remove the clip, and there are 10mm nuts behind it, use a ratchet with an extension and a 10mm socket. (Remember that as soon as you unscrew the nuts, coolant will come out, so place a bowl underneath to catch the coolant that spills out, and later you will need to top it up in the reservoir). After unscrewing all the 10mm bolts, loosen the cable that controls the opening and closing of the valve (7mm bolt). Once you have removed the tap, install the new tap in reverse order, apply the new gaskets, and be careful not to drop the bolts. Once the tap is reinstalled, reposition the cable and tighten the 7mm screw. Next, start the engine and turn on the heater fan to check for any leaks.
