How to Replace the Brake Light on a Lancia Ypsilon

The first step to replace the brake bulb on the Lancia Ypsilon is to open the tailgate and unscrew the screws holding the light cluster in place using a 10 mm spanner. The screws are located in the thickness where the tailgate strikes when closed. At this point, insert your fingers into the space left by the bolts and pull towards you while lifting it simultaneously. Using a flathead screwdriver, disconnect the wiring of the light bulbs, freeing the light cluster from the vehicle. Now you can remove the cover that protects the brake bulb and replace it. Remember never to touch the bulb with bare hands. Refit the bulb in its place. Now you can reattach the light cluster, reconnecting the connector and then aligning the top part followed by the two side pins. Now you can screw the two screws back in. Job done.
