Replacing the spark plugs is a maintenance task that is often overlooked, usually addressed only when starting issues arise. Keeping the spark plugs efficient is essential for ensuring proper starting, as well as optimal fuel consumption and performance. It is recommended to perform this maintenance with the engine cold. Once you open the bonnet and remove the air filter box, the spark plugs are easily accessible behind the rocker cover. Before proceeding, remove the boot, blow on the spark plug seat to remove any dirt that could enter the cylinder, then unscrew the old spark plug and install the new one without exceeding the tightening torque. Repeat the same procedure for the other spark plugs.
