To replace the glow plugs on the Lancia Ypsilon, start by disconnecting the battery for safety. Lift the hood and locate the glow plugs, which are near the injectors, on each cylinder. Remove the electrical connections of the glow plugs, being careful not to damage them. Use a socket wrench to unscrew the old glow plugs, being careful not to force them to avoid damaging the cylinder head. Apply some anti-seize lubricant if necessary. Insert the new glow plugs, tightening them carefully without overdoing it. Reconnect the electrical connections, reassemble everything, and finally reconnect the battery. Verify proper operation at the end. If you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, contact an expert.
