Do you want to replace the gear knob on your Land Rover Freelander 2? In this video, see how to perform the removal. First, grasp the knob with both hands and rotate it left and right until it comes off the gear stick. Use a plastic lever to disconnect the leather gaiter frame (if you need to replace it). For installation: take the new knob and insert it onto the stick in the centre console, tightening it until it is fully threaded onto the lever. Finally, test the movement of the stick in the centre console to ensure the knob is correctly fitted.
