How do you remove the differential on a Land Rover Freelander 2? Lift the vehicle using a column lift, and locate the differential (at the rear of the vehicle) as shown in the video. Using a socket spanner, undo the securing bolts near the housing (disconnect any cables and pipes if present) where the differential is situated. Once the differential is removed, take it out of the vehicle (replace it with a new part). Finally, refit the differential under the car (connect the pipes and cables) and tighten the appropriate bolts. Lower the vehicle to the ground and test it.
