Operation: How to remove the central dashboard of a Land Rover Discovery

Before we can begin, we will have to go and sit in the driver's seat of our Land Rover Discovery. So let's start by removing everything in the upper glove box located between the central air vents. Once this is done, we will have to go and pull the two lower extremities towards us. By doing so, we will have unhooked the internal fixing hooks of the central section of the dashboard. At this point, we will be able to extract the central dashboard from its housing, and subsequently remove it. Once we have completed this step, we will have successfully completed the disassembly.

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes.
