How to remove the battery from the Freelander key? Let's see how to disassemble the plastic parts of the key. Use a screwdriver to pry between the two parts of the plastic key cover: extract the worn battery from inside the plastic cover. Take a new battery and install it in its housing. Reassemble the plastic parts of the remote by pressing the key cover until you hear it click into place. Check the correct functioning of the remote key once the assembly is complete. Install a battery of the same size and voltage as the one previously removed.
