To program the new key for the Land Rover Range Rover so that it starts the engine, a device is used that connects to the car's OBD port. First, turn on the ignition without starting the engine, then turn it off. Connect the device to the OBD port of the vehicle.

Position the remote to the left of the steering column where there is a specific sensor with lines. Once the remote is placed on the sensor, press the button to start the engine.

After the engine starts, turn it off, disconnect the device from the OBD port, reposition the remote on the sensor on the steering column, and try to start the car's engine without the device connected. If it starts, the key is programmed.

You can also try locking or unlocking the car to check its functionality.
