Why Remove the Front Passenger Door Module on the Lexus LBX

Model: Lexus LBX MK 1 - Years: 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026
Part: Car door

Video tutorial

In this video, we will see why it is necessary to remove the front passenger door module on the Lexus LBX. This is the mechanical brain of the door and performs essential functions: it controls the internal and external handles, translating the handle movement into lock operation.

It also prevents the door from opening in the event of an accident.

The component communicates with the onboard computer for open and close status, activates and deactivates the interior lights, and controls the alarm. It is removed for replacing the control panel, repairing the opening mechanism, and replacing the internal wiring of the door, as well as accessing the speaker or other components hidden behind the panel.

Before refitting, ensure all electrical connectors are inserted, that the lights work when the door opens, verify the opening with both the internal and external handles, and test all buttons.
