Operation: How to open the locked trunk in the Lexus ES?

In the Lexus ES, it can happen that the trunk door gets stuck, for example due to a problem with the control button or the lock actuator. In these cases, we can perform the emergency opening following the simple procedure shown in this tutorial. First of all, we go to the rear seat, then lower the central armrest and open the newly released door. Then, we locate the cord with a ring at its end and pull it towards us to manually unlock the lock. The trunk door is now free to be opened.
