How to Replace the Key Battery for the Lincoln MKC

When you notice that the remote key for your vehicle can no longer unlock it, the remote battery is likely dead. To replace it, you need: a small screwdriver to pry open the key cover. After that, remove the cover and pry again to extract the mechanism, under which is the battery (model CR2025). Then, take the new battery and place it in the housing, ensuring the correct orientation (positive side facing up). Finally, reassemble the mechanism and snap the cover back on.
