How to Repair the Headlamp of the Lotus Elan

Model: Lotus Elan M100 - Years 1989-1995

Today, you will learn how to repair the electric mechanism of the front headlamp on a Lotus Elan M100. Start the repair by opening the bonnet and removing the headlamp motor. To do this, disconnect the wiring from the connector and then detach the motor from the push rod by unscrewing the nuts as shown in the video. The headlamp motor is positioned very low, so you will need to remove the left front wheel and the wheel arch liner to access the nuts and bolts securing the motor. Once the obstructing parts are removed, you can take out and extract the motor. After extraction, begin adjusting it as shown in the video. Lubricate and refit it back into its housing. Reassemble the car and enjoy your electric headlamp.
