Maserati Quattroporte - Video tutorial

Model: Maserati Quattroporte MK 5 - Years 2003-2012
Part: Door panel
Operation: How to remove the door panel of a Maserati Quattroporte

Let's start with opening the door. We insert a thin but strong tool into the gap between the briar insert and its seat, unhooking it from its hooks and removing it from its seat. We repeat this step for the inside handle as well. By doing so we will have exposed simple screws and Allen screws, both types of screws will be unscrewed and removed. At this point we remove the internal assistance reflector of the door, again with the help of the thin but resistant tool. In doing so we discover another Allen screw, which must also be removed. Behind the opening handle there is a small rubber, which we will remove, so as to reveal the last Allen screw to unscrew. Before we can remove the door panel, we will need to unscrew the pin that locks the door. Now there is nothing left but to pull the door panel upwards. Once the panel has been detached from the door, before moving it away, let's disconnect the cable plugs. Completed this step we will have successfully completed the disassembly of our door panel.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
