Programming the second key for the Mazda 5 is a simple and quick operation that can be done independently. To carry out this procedure, we need to unlock the vehicle using the main key and get inside the car while keeping both the first key and the key to be programmed inside. We place the main key in the glove compartment of the center console and insert the second key into the ignition. Then, we turn the ignition on and off three times in a row. After that, we remove the key and press the lock and unlock buttons on the remote, keeping the key inside. At the end of the procedure, the second key will also be programmed and ready for use.
