How to Replace the Key Fob Battery of a Mazda

Model: Mazda 5 MK 1 - Years 2005-2015

To replace the battery of the key fob, locate the small lever on the top edge of the fob and push it to open the rear cover. Once open, gently insert a flat screwdriver into the indicated slot to separate the two halves of the shell without damaging it. Inside, you will find the button cell battery covered by a plastic shield, so remove it and then take out the dead battery; insert the new one respecting the correct polarity. Close the fob by aligning the two halves until they click and check the proper functioning of the buttons.
