How to Change the Remote Battery in a Mazda 5

Model: Mazda 5 MK 1 - Years 2005-2015

The procedure described in the video is the same for Mazda models 3, 4, 5, and 6. You will need a small pointed tool and a small flat screwdriver. The battery required is a CR1620, 3 Volt. Open the key using the button, insert the pointed tool into the slot, and press towards the metal part of the key. At this point, the key will separate from the plastic part containing the electronics. Separate the two halves of the remaining part using the pointed tool by inserting it into the slot (see video) and applying upward pressure. Now the battery is accessible and should be removed using the flat screwdriver. Replace it with the new one, ensuring the correct polarity. Reassemble everything in reverse order.
