How to Install a Roof Rack on the Mazda CX-5

To install a roof rack on a Mazda CX-5, follow these steps. Locate the two longitudinal plastic profiles on the roof of the vehicle and, using a tool, pry them out. Use a hacksaw to cut the profile at distances of 13, 20, and 60 inches from the point of contact with the front windscreen. Reposition the two parts of the plastic profile, placing the first piece, the shorter one, starting from the windscreen, and the second piece after leaving 6 inches of free space between the two. Take the first roof rack bar and position it on the roof, using a ratchet spanner to tighten the fixing screw, then place the finishing profile on top, applying pressure. Repeat the same steps to secure the bar at the rear. At this point, take the fixing profile of the roof rack crossbar and insert it into the internal profile of the bar (there are two profiles per side). Take the crossbar and insert it into the profile seat, rotate the bar forward, and secure it with the screw. Repeat the same steps with the second crossbar.
