As shown in this tutorial, replacing the remote battery on the Mazda CX-5 is a very simple and quick operation. For this, you will need a replacement CR2032 battery and a small flathead screwdriver.

First, locate the button on the metal edge of the remote, then press it to remove the rear cover. Next, remove the emergency key, leverage in the indicated slot, and separate the opposite cover.

At this point, simply remove the battery cap, replace the battery, and reassemble everything.
