Does your car's belt need replacing? In this detailed video, see how to remove and replace the timing belt and tensioner pulley on a Mazda 6. Lift the bonnet and secure it, then remove the belt by loosening the tensioner. Use a socket spanner to remove the plate on the right side of the engine, then use a spanner to unscrew the tensioner pulley and slide it out of its seat. Fit the new tensioner and the belt, tightening everything with the spanner. Finally, refit the securing pins for the plate and close the bonnet.
