If the remote for the Mercedes-Benz C-Class stops working, the cause may be the battery, which can deplete over time and with use. To replace it, take the remote, extract the metal key, and use it to pry open the edge of the rear shell to lift it off. Remove the shell to access the battery cover, which you will open using the key as a lever.

Remove the old battery and replace it with a new CR2032, ensuring the positive terminal is facing up. Close the cover and reattach the rear shell, securing it by pressing firmly.
