Mercedes Classe C - Video tutorial

Model: Mercedes Classe C W203 - Years 2000-2007
Part: Air filter
Operation: Maintenance of service coupon B with replacement of air filter

Regular maintenance of the vehicle ensures a long life for the vehicle and avoids being stranded. The checks that any motorist can carry out are very simple but important. Regular replacement of the air filter is part of those easy operations: open the airbox, remove the old cartridge and replace it with a new one, taking care to clean the inside of the air box and close it hermetically. A second, but no less important, check is the verification of the various liquids necessary for operation. Clean the various trays with a rag and check that the liquids fall within the min and max marks, if necessary top up. A slightly more demanding operation is checking the brake pads as it is necessary to remove the wheels in order to check them. Also check the wear of the various belts which must not show side fraying or cuts. Especially in winter it is necessary to check the condition of the battery which must not show â € œbloomingâ € on the contacts, otherwise remove the terminals and carefully clean the poles with rags and deoxidizing liquids.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
