To replace the battery of a Mercedes E-Class key, follow these steps. First, obtain a new battery of the correct type for your key. Carefully examine the key to locate the opening point. It could be a small hole, a slot, or an access point on the back of the key. Using a small screwdriver or a suitable tool, apply pressure at the opening point to separate the two halves of the key. Once opened, locate the position of the battery inside. Remove the old battery, being careful not to damage the contacts, and insert the new battery in the same way, making sure the polarity is correct. Close the key by applying light pressure until it snaps back together. Make sure it is securely closed to prevent accidental opening. Test the key to ensure it functions correctly in locking and unlocking the doors of your Mercedes E-Class.
