Mercedes Classe C - Video tutorial

Model: Mercedes Classe C W204 - Years 2007-2013
Part: Accessory Kit
Operation: After market Xenon headlight accessory kit installation

To facilitate the installation operations, it is suggested to lift the car on the jack (if necessary apply a car stand), remove the wheel and unhook the wheel arch by removing both the fastening clips placed along the edge of the mudguard and the screws inside. of the fender itself and under the bumper. Then apply double-sided tape on one side of the xenon kit control unit and fix it to the metal crosspiece immediately under the headlight with tear-off strips. At this point, accessing from the engine compartment, remove the protective cap of the bulb holder from behind the headlight: file the reinforcing rib on the back of the cap, drill a hole of about 20 mm (with a hole cutter or a tip) and insert the wiring harness to the bulb by correctly hooking the gasket to the hole just drilled. Then unhook the retainer from the original bulb and replace it with the one from the kit, reapplying the cap and connecting the sockets to the relevant control unit. Repeat the same operations for the other fixture and complete the electrical connections as per the attached diagram. Reassemble the wheel arch and wheel at the end and check the functioning of the kit just installed.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
