Today we will explain how to easily and quickly remove the ignition switch of the Mercedes E-Class, model W 211, produced from 2002 to 2009. To carry out the removal on your own, we need to use three small flathead screwdrivers. We insert the screwdrivers along the edge of the ignition switch and, applying pressure from the inside to the outside, we remove the lock. Once the extraction is complete, we disconnect the internal connector and completely remove the lock. The procedure for inserting a new ignition switch is very simple as it follows the reverse process; in fact, once the connector is connected, you just need to push the switch back in.
