On Mercedes vehicles, maintenance services are classified as Service A) and Service B), alternating between them at regular intervals, usually one year or 10,000 km or 20,000, depending on the model. Service A) is a basic maintenance and includes oil and filter change, fluid level checks, visual inspection of brake, suspension, and tire wear, OBD checks to find stored errors, and maintenance system reset. Service B), on the other hand, is a complete maintenance and includes all operations of Service A) + cabin air filter change, engine air filter change, timing belt check (if not equipped with a chain), brake fluid check, battery and electrical system inspection, lubrication of locks and hinges, and exhaust and emissions system check. Obviously, Service B) is more expensive.
