To replace the fuel filter on a Mercedes A-Class diesel, turn off the engine and wait for it to cool down. Loosen the support that holds the filter and extract the component from its housing. Position the new filter in the same direction, secure it to the support, and properly reconnect the hoses and connectors. Before starting, it is necessary to fill and bleed the fuel system according to the procedure specified for the engine type. Then start the engine and let it idle, carefully checking for any fuel leaks from the fittings.
