Replace Key Battery on Mercedes E

Model: Mercedes Classe E W211 - Years 2002-2009

Take the key remote and slide the button to release the metal key. Once extracted, use it to apply pressure on the key cover. Press until the piece separates from the cover, then remove the battery. Get a new battery of the same size and voltage. Reassemble the cover with the buttons by pressing on the key remote until you hear a click. Insert the metal key back into the remote. Check the remote's functionality by pressing the buttons. Ensure the battery is properly positioned in the remote.
