Removing Door Panel on Mercedes E

Model: Mercedes Classe E W211 - Years 2002-2009

Remove the door panel for maintenance or to replace it. Here’s how to do it on a Mercedes. Disconnect the battery terminals located in the engine compartment. Remove the inner cover of the mirror and the cover underneath it. Unscrew the fastening screws inside, unscrew the screws on the handle (after removing the plastic screw covers). Detach the retaining clips of the panel. Finally, pull the panel off by hand and disconnect it from the door (disconnect the power wiring and the opening cable). Perform the desired maintenance inside the door. Replace or reinstall the same panel.
