Replace Alternator on Mercedes A-Class

Remove the alternator from the Mercedes A-Class if it is faulty. Here’s how to do it. Disconnect the battery terminals. Lift the vehicle on a column lift, then, remove the bolts with a socket wrench, being careful not to damage the wiring harness. Remove all the mounting bolts of the alternator. Once the disassembly is complete, pull it out of the engine compartment. Now take the new replacement part and insert it into the appropriate housing, tighten the mounting bolts, then, tighten the side bolts of the alternator. Check the correct voltage with a tester by connecting it to the battery. Reconnect the battery terminals.
