The alternator of the Mercedes A-Class is an important component of the electrical system. It plays a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning of the vehicle, so if the alternator is faulty, you need to remove it and replace it with a functioning one. This video shows how to disassemble it. First, disconnect the battery terminals to avoid short circuits.

The car must be lifted on a column lift. Using a socket wrench, start unscrewing all the bolts; during this maneuver, be careful not to damage the membranes of the windings.

Once all the alternator bolts are unscrewed, you can remove it from its position. At this point, take the new functioning alternator and place it in the designated housing, reversing the steps to reassemble all the parts.
