To replace the auxiliary battery in a Mercedes A-Class, you need to completely detach the carpet located under the glove compartment on the passenger side: once the carpet is removed, you will be able to locate the underlying battery so that it can be disconnected from the power cables and freed from the screws securing it to its supports.

At this point, you can completely remove the old battery, insert the new one, and secure it in place, covering everything with the carpet.
